The Senior High School Work Culmination Program thrived last March 13, 2024, at 1 PM at the MCPI gymnasium. All the Work Immersion Completers gathered to celebrate this momentous milestone as they received their certificates of completion, and finally, learned the Best in Work Immersion awardee per strand: Karl Dave Chacon (General Academic); Julienne Adda Ayisha Juaton (Humanities and Social Sciences); Hershey Leonardo (Accountancy, Business, and Management); Kassel Luke Mikael Sagarino (Information and Communications Technology); Princess Divine Payot (Home Economics); Vince David Sumalinog (Automotive Servicing); and Clifford Clerk Custora (Shielded Metal Arc Welding).
The event was also graced by the Work Industry Partners from Checkered Farms Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Multipurpose Cooperative (CFARBEMPCO), King Multipurpose Cooperative (Panabo & Carmen branches), Dole Philippines, Inc., Frux Food Products, Panabo Multipurpose Cooperative, Fiesta Appliance Center, Projekt MARIPHIL Foundation, Inc., Madonna Hometel and Suites, Integrated Basic Education (IBEd)- Grade School Unit, and Tagum Agricultural Development Company (TADECO). Their presence and support, from the pinning ceremony to the deployment and culmination, gave the MCPI-SHS Unit the impression that they had been with them in giving the best experiences to the students in engaging the corporate world and directing them to their future career paths.
In addition, the event was enriched by impressions from the Work Industry Partners and students. Hearing the impressions from Engr. Randel Panayangan and Mr. Eliezer Gedalanga, who both highlighted the lasting values and attributes a work immersion trainee should possess, offered students a personal perspective on their experiences as working individuals. They also recognized the efforts not just of the students but also of the school, the MCPI-SHS Unit headed by the principal Mrs. Antonita Paris, MAED, and the rest of the SHS faculty.
Students’ points of view were also welcomed by hearing the impressions of Ashton Raphael Gedalanga for Humanities and Social Sciences from the Academic Track and Jacintha Escueta for Information and Communications Technology from the Technical Vocational Track. These two young people underscored the practices and experiences they encountered and how these things made them realize how far they have come from a blank slate to someone who has acquired sufficient knowledge from the immersion program. They truly proved that they managed to withstand all the challenges at work and arrived with clear conclusions about the apprehensions they had before their deployment.
The program went well because of the cooperation and participation of everyone involved. Indeed, this has been a celebration of success. Congratulations, Work Immersion Completers batch 2023-2024!
