EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

of

MARYKNOLL COLLEGE OF PANABO, INC.

“A true education aims at the formation of the human person with respect to  his ultimate goal and simultaneously with respect to the good of those  societies of which, as a man, he is a member, and whose responsibilities,  as an adult he will share.”

(Declaration on Christian Education, Vatican II)

Maryknoll College of Panabo, Inc. is a catholic school founded  by the Maryknoll Sisters in 1960. It is administered by the  Diocesan Priests under the guidance of the Bishop of Tagum.

As a learning institution, it draws inspiration from the  Blessed Virgin Mary for her simplicity and obedience and St.  John Vianney’s life and examples. It believes in the holistic  formation of individuals enabling them to make better choices  and decisions preparing them for a life here and hereafter.

As a catholic institution, it is committed to provide quality  instruction for the development of faith, excellence,  compassion, humility, justice, and service.

Maryknoll College of Panabo, Inc. further believes that the  total development of persons can be best achieved through the  offering of transformative programs and activities that foster  Christian and social values, harness diverse competencies, hone  technical-vocational skills, and form character.

Amidst the current social issues and rapid technological  changes, Maryknoll College of Panabo, Inc. believes in forging  responsive innovative programs and diverse educational services  for the enhancement of human and material resources, improvement  of the basic ecclesial communities and upliftment of the quality  of life.
