The morning session of IBED teachers was marked by reflection, collaboration, and a deepened commitment to the teaching profession. Faculty members were divided into three groups โ Maryknoll Paragon, Maryknoll Luminaries, and Blooming Maryknollians โ each representing the ideals of excellence, enlightenment, and growth within the Maryknoll community.
Throughout the session, educators revisited the core expectations of their role: upholding professional standards through subject mastery, employing effective instructional strategies, and maintaining strong classroom management.
These are not merely technical responsibilities but essential elements in fostering a learning environment that is safe, inclusive, and conducive to both academic achievement and personal development.
The discussions highlighted that teachers, as daily leaders in the classroom, are entrusted with more than just delivering lessons. They are expected to model ethical behavior, respect the dignity and rights of every learner, and align their practices with the policies and values of the school.
This morningโs gathering was not just a sessionโit was a reaffirmation of the mission that guides every Maryknoll educator: to teach with purpose, lead with compassion, and grow in faith and excellence together.
