In June 2025, the Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) of Maryknoll College of Panabo, Inc. formally began its operations in pursuit of upholding and enhancing the standards of the institution. The committee is tasked with surveying the implementation and adherence of quality practices across all departments. Spearheaded by Mr. Junjie Alcosero, the Chairperson, together with Mr. Mark Angelo Cocjin, Co-Chairperson, and the committee: Ms. Ruby Mae Jumamoy (Member-Secretary), Ms. Geah D. Lao (Faith Formation Assessor), Mr. Ian James Capito (Academic Assessor), and Ms. Mea Ann Malcampo (Non-Academic Assessor). Since its formation, the QAC has conducted a series of consultative meetings to oversee institutional functions and ensure alignment with quality assurance benchmarks.

One of the primary initiatives undertaken by the committee was the development of a comprehensive office organogram designed to clearly delineate the institutional hierarchy, reporting relationships, and channels of communication within Maryknoll College of Panabo, Inc. This organizational tool is instrumental in promoting operational efficiency, enhancing transparency, and reinforcing accountability among personnel. By providing a visual representation of roles and lines of authority, the organogram ensures that all members of the academic and administrative workforce are fully informed of their functions and responsibilities within the institution’s framework.

In addition to this structural initiative, the committee commenced a thorough revision of the existing Quality Assurance Manual. This undertaking aims to replace outdated content, align institutional policies with current educational standards, and incorporate newly established protocols that reflect the dynamic needs and direction of the school. The revised manual will serve as a guiding document for institutional practices, fostering consistency, compliance, and continuous quality improvement.

To further enhance the professionalism and procedural integrity of committee operations, the QAC has formally adopted the use of parliamentary procedures during its meetings. This decision ensures that deliberations are conducted in an organized, inclusive, and efficient manner, thereby facilitating informed decision-making and equitable participation among all committee members.

The efforts of the QAC reflect MCPI’s commitment to continuous improvement and institutional excellence. Through structured evaluation and collaboration, the committee strives to prepare the institution for future accreditation by ensuring that all practices meet or exceed the standards set by regulatory and accrediting bodies. Each department is encouraged to actively participate in the process by complying with recommendations, updating documentation, and demonstrating measurable progress.

As Maryknoll College of Panabo, Inc. (MCPI) continues to advance its mission of delivering quality Catholic education, the Quality Assurance Committee serves as a cornerstone in steering the institution through this period of transformation and growth. The committee envisions a school environment that not only adheres to the rigorous standards set by accrediting bodies but also lives out the Maryknollian core value of Excellence in all aspects of institutional life. Through strategic planning, consistent evaluation, and collaborative engagement, the QAC fosters a culture of continuous improvement. Its efforts are directed toward building a resilient and future-ready institution, committed to shaping morally grounded and academically competent individuals.
