The Grade 8 students of MCPI performed exceptionally well in their preliminaries for live radio broadcasting last January 24, 2025, at the SHS AVR. The activity encouraged the students to reflect on the important aspects of live radio broadcasting from which they ventured and experienced the actual live broadcast. It was a milestone which they managed to hone their skills in broadcasting, sound technicalities,research, acting, and most importantly, in delivering current and relevant news in service to the public.
From writing the scripts they produced, practicing their vocals as news anchors, actors and product endorsers, all the hardwork and effort was paid away after their successful performances. This is such a huge journey for them since the entire performance was applied through multiple disciplines as collaborations namely: Filipino, Araling Panlipunan, Science, English, CLVED, and TLE. The sense of flexibility, enthusiasm and teamwork was seen within the students in the room. Despite of all the negative thoughts, a triumph was once again celebrated.
This Performance Task is more than just a requirement for the students–it was an experience and an opportunity for them to unlock their potential, use their talents, and to follow their dreams as they aspire to become future anchors and news presenters that would become the pride and proud of MCPI.
