Maryknoll College of Panabo, Inc. Signs First Memorandum of Agreement with Ms. Amalia Lin Cabangbang
Integrated Basic Education Department marked a significant milestone with the signing of its first Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with private donor Ms. Amalia Lin Cabangbang, MSc. This historic event took place in SHS-AVR and was attended by the administrative officers, including Ms. Bhea Christly C. Narido, MAED, the IBED Principal, Mr. Geilbeshter Diagbel, the Socio-Pastoral Coordinator, Ms.Antonita C. Paris, MAED., SHS Principal, as well as MCPI administrators, students, and parents of the late afternoon class.
Ms. Cabangbang’s generous contribution will fund scholarships (free tuition fee) under the IBED Educational Assistance Program, designed to support students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. “This partnership reflects our mission as a Catholic institution to ensure that no student is left behind,” said Ms. Narido. “We are deeply grateful to Ms. Cabangbang for helping make this vision a reality.”
The MOA formalizes a new chapter for MCPI, as this is the first time the institution has partnered with a private donor through her initiative to advance its educational program. This partnership paves the way for expanded access to quality Catholic education, providing significant financial support to 21 JHS from Grade 7 to Grade 10 students.
The MOA signing ceremony was not only a celebration of generosity but also a demonstration of the strong community support behind the initiative. Students and parents of the late afternoon classes attended the event, reflecting the widespread impact this program will have on those directly affected by financial hardships.
With the support of Ms. Amalia Lin Cabangbang, an alumna of this institution, Maryknoll College of Panabo, Inc. is taking significant steps toward creating a more inclusive educational environment.
