With a focus on the 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗮 (𝐿𝑎𝑔𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑜𝑒𝑚𝑖𝑎 𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑖𝑜𝑠𝑎) and 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗶 (𝐶𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑢𝑚 𝑜𝑣𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑚) species, the ABS Project promotes ethical biotrade, sustainable resource use, and equitable benefit-sharing. Collaborating with 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀, the project helps develop marketable products, and works with local and national government agencies to promote conservation and ensure sustainability.

Rooted in the 𝗡𝗮𝗴𝗼𝘆𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹 and aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the ABS Project, led by DENR with support from United Nations Development Programme – UNDP and Global Environment Facility, builds a future where 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱, 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲.
